Participation in new SFB 1394

The Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) is establishing ten new Collaborative Research Centres (CRCs) to further support top-level research in German universities. One of the new Collaborative Research Centre is The CRC "Structural and Chemical Atomic Complexity: From Defect Phase Diagrams to Material Properties"

Prof. Benjamin Berkels was one the applicants for the Collaborative Research Centre "Structural and Chemical Atomic Complexity" (SFB 1394), which was proposed by RWTH Aachen University together with the Max-Planck-Institut für Eisenforschung. In the SFB, Benjamin Berkels is heading Project A04 "Crystal Analysis of High Resolution Image Data". Moreover, he is heading the integrated research training group.
The funding was officially granted by the DFG in November 2019. If you want to read more about it click here.
